About the Role TGS | Field & Hydro Are you interested in rotating machinery, diagnostics and condition monitoring, and do you enjoy combining technical analysis with hands-on work at power plants and industrial sites? TGS is looking for a Condition Monitoring Engineer to strengthen our Field & Hydro organization. In this role, you will plan, prepare and execute condition monitoring activities, analyze the results and provide customers and internal teams with clear recommendations regarding the condition and performance of rotating equipment. The position combines field work, engineering, troubleshooting and customer interaction and offers the opportunity to work with technically challenging projects in the power generation industry. Your Role As a Condition Monitoring Engineer, you will be responsible for condition monitoring activities throughout our projects – from planning and preparation to measurements, analysis and final reporting. You will work independently while being part of a team of experienced engineers and field specialists. Your work will contribute directly to identifying potential problems, improving equipment reliability and supporting customers in making informed maintenance decisions. Main Responsibilities Perform condition monitoring measurements on rotating machinery. Analyze measurement data and identify deviations, trends and potential equipment problems. Prepare professional technical reports and present findings and recommendations to customers and internally. Plan and coordinate your own work, including preparation of equipment, documentation and site activities. Install and commission condition monitoring equipment and systems at customer sites. Maintain and ensure the availability and accuracy of measuring equipment. Provide technical guidance and instructions to colleagues within your area of expertise. Support sales and project teams with technical input, measurement scopes and calculations. Maintain close cooperation with other Condition Monitoring Engineers and technical specialists. Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers. Support and mentor new colleagues as the team continues to develop.

About you We are looking for someone with a strong technical interest in rotating machinery and the ability to combine practical field experience with analytical engineering work. You preferably have: An engineering degree or 3–5 years of relevant experience working with rotating machinery. Strong knowledge of condition monitoring methods, measurements and associated equipment. Experience with vibration measurement and analysis is highly valued. Good understanding of rotating equipment such as generators, motors, turbines, bearings and associated systems. Understanding of high-voltage safety requirements where applicable. Experience working in power plants, hydropower or other industrial environments is an advantage. Good written and spoken English and Swedish. The ability to work independently, structure your own activities and deliver according to project schedules.

Qualification for Swedish nuclear safety checks/security clearance, when required for specific assignments, is necessary for the position. You are comfortable moving between detailed technical analysis and practical troubleshooting in the field. Interested? Location & Travel The position is part of the Field & Hydro organization and reports to the Group Manager – Field and Hydro. Travel to customer sites is a natural part of the position, and some assignments may require travelling at short notice.
