Assignment Description We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer What You Will Work On Lead and coordinate mechanical engineering activities within power system and substation projects Design and develop solutions related to high-voltage substations and electrical infrastructure Perform engineering studies, technical analyses, and design evaluations Support planning, design, and modification of equipment, systems, and installations Coordinate activities across engineering disciplines and project teams Develop cable routing, lightning protection, and primary equipment design solutions Contribute to steel structure and support system design activities Ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and project requirements Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders Identify and resolve complex technical challenges throughout project execution Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and quality assurance activities Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices Contribute to domestic and international engineering projects

What You Bring B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline Minimum 6 years of relevant engineering experience, including leadership or coordination responsibilities Alternatively, another technical degree combined with 15+ years of relevant industry experience Proven experience within high-voltage power systems, substations, or medium/high-voltage switchgear environments Strong understanding of mechanical design principles within energy infrastructure projects Experience coordinating engineering activities across multiple disciplines Knowledge of applicable industry standards such as EN and IEC Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently and drive engineering activities forward Fluent English communication skills, written and spoken Good verbal and written Swedish communication skills
