We are currently looking for two Lead Engineers, Pressure Vessles and Tanks, for our office in Gothenburg, Sweden. Valmet in Gothenburg delivers evaporation plant solutions to the pulp and paper industry and provides services for recovery boilers as well as environmentally friendly power and heating boilers designed for technically demanding fuels. As a Lead Engineer, Pressure Vessles and Tanks, you will primarily work with customer delivery projects. You will take a leading role within the mechanical discipline, working closely with other disciplines such as piping, structural engineering, and process design engineering within the project team. Area of responsibility and tasks: Lead and coordinate the discipline team in delivery projects. Keep track and be responsible for the discipline budget. Preparing technical documentation for the procurement and manufacturing of equipment by our suppliers, project schedules, specifications, and drawings for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and storage tanks. Follow up on the manufacturing process through drawing reviews and daily communication with suppliers. Support installation work at the customer’s or workshop site, both remotely and on site when needed. Support pre‑projects and sales work when needed. Contribute to the development of work processes and continuous improvements. Occasionally travel to suppliers or customer sites during project execution.
The scope of the projects varies, which means that the size of your discipline team will also vary. Therefore, we place equal importance on your ability to collaborate and lead, as well as your capability to perform engineering and design work independently. Working in global teams is part of our delivery projects execution setup. We operate within a global multi technology organization. Daily work involves contact with colleagues and partners in many parts of the world and also with other technologies. The role therefore includes some planned short-term business travel. Who you are To be successful in this role, you should hold a Masters or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or possess an equivalent qualification. You are accustomed to taking initiative and enjoy working collaboratively in a global enviorment. Furthermore, you have extensive experience (more than 10 years) in a similar industry, involving engineering design, drafting, and supplier interactions. You have the below skills and knowledge: AutoCAD 2D Microsoft Office applications Solid works (desirable) E3D (desirable) Knowledge in norms and standards such as EN, ASME and GB Working in global project teams Expericence from Evaparation plants or other pulp and paper process areas Site experience from Pulp & Paper industry (desirable)
