About the Role

You will work with safety-critical, real-time transmission management systems in a modern automotive environment supporting both ICE and BEV products. The role covers the full development lifecycle, from early concepts and requirements to implementation, testing, verification, and documentation.

You will be part of a cross-functional setting where software, control strategies, and vehicle behavior come together to create robust technical solutions. This is an exciting opportunity if you enjoy embedded development close to real products, complex control logic, and high quality standards.

Job DescriptionYou will develop and maintain control strategies and software functions for transmission management systems.

You will implement gear shifting functions for both ICE and BEV applications.

You will write requirements and take part in implementation, testing, verification, and technical documentation.

You will develop software primarily in C, with additional work in Matlab/Simulink.

You will perform testing through unit tests, Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and vehicle-level testing.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, robust, and high-quality solutions.

RequirementsMaster’s degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.

Experience in transmission management software development.

Strong experience in C.

Experience with Matlab/Simulink.

Ability to work independently and together with others in a cross-functional environment.

Structured and quality-focused way of working.

Ability to pass a background check before start.

Nice to haveExperience with Python.

Experience in embedded software development, control systems, or vehicle development.

Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, CAN FD, and Ethernet.

Experience with testing methodologies such as unit testing, integration testing, SIL, and vehicle testing.

Experience working with functional safety according to ISO 26262.
