About the Role

You will join a cloud platform environment in the middle of a technically demanding migration from GitLab to GitHub. This is not just a repository move. You will help secure the full transition of CI/CD pipelines, integrations, dependencies and working processes so that build, test, deployment, security and other automated flows continue to run smoothly after the migration.

The environment is built on GCP and includes multiple technical stakeholders, which means you need to be comfortable navigating dependencies, spotting risks early and turning complex requirements into practical solutions. You will work closely with the platform team to understand the current setup, execute the migration with quality and make sure the team can continue to own and develop the platform after handover. If you enjoy platform engineering, automation and solving migration challenges that have real operational impact, this role offers a meaningful technical challenge.

Job DescriptionYou analyze existing GitLab repositories, CI/CD pipelines and their technical dependencies.

You rewrite and adapt pipelines to GitHub Actions on the target GitHub platform.

You help ensure that build, test, deployment, security and other automated processes keep working throughout and after the migration.

You execute repository migrations from GitLab to GitHub with a strong focus on quality and continuity.

You identify risks, technical challenges and blockers early, and work proactively with relevant stakeholders to resolve them.

You verify that repositories, access, integrations, workflows and CI/CD are fully operational after migration.

You collaborate closely with the cloud platform team to understand the current repository landscape, tooling, processes and migration approach.

You document findings, decisions, configurations and migration procedures so the team has a clear and usable knowledge base.

You support knowledge transfer and handover so the team can continue to own and develop the platform confidently.

RequirementsYou have hands-on experience with CI/CD in both GitLab and GitHub, including their respective APIs.

You work comfortably in Google Cloud Platform.

You have solid experience with Terraform.

You script in Python and Bash.

You have worked in complex enterprise environments with multiple technical stakeholders.

You are used to agile and collaborative ways of working.

You communicate clearly and collaborate well in close technical teamwork.

Good knowledge of English.
